about

a time capsule for a time i wouldn't mind forgetting

i started writing these songs after exiting work and romantic relationships i thought would last forever. my first attempts at finding myself again took place within other people.

these songs have grown to sound like nails on a chalkboard to me and the content feels tired and old. very fitting. vacation season is over. rather than go for gloss and perfection (which trust me, i tried) i opted to release these songs just as they were initially recorded - as voice memos.

purging this project feels like wiping the slate clean. i am no longer looking for escape by vacationing in someone else's life. i kinda love mine again.
